There are two main types of USBA Tournaments: a regular USBA-sanctioned tournament and a USBA TOUR EVENT.

USBA TOUR EVENTS
Minimum number of tables required to hold a USBA TOUR Event is 2.

USBA TOUR EVENTS are special events that are larger in scope than regular tournaments. Typically they allow for more players, the entry fees are usually higher and there is added money to the event, both by the room owner and by the TOUR Sponsors. "OPEN" TOUR EVENTS generally bring top players to the event and prize money is typically between $8,000 and $20,000 overall with the first place price usually between $2,500 and $4,000. "B" or "C" TOUR EVENTS generally bring top "B" and "C" players to the event and prize money is typically between $4,000 and $12,000 overall with the first place price usually between $1,000 and $2,000.

Room Owners generally add anywhere between $1,000 and $3,000 (or more) to "OPEN" events and $500 to $1500 for "B" and "C" events. The TOUR Sponsors will generally match that amount or exceed it. Room Owners receive an additional benefit from the TOUR Sponsors which is either some free Simonis cloth or heavily discounted cloth. Along with that, the room receives a free Tiger Carom Cue and 3 trophies for the event.

The Secretary is currently working on TOUR PACKAGES for the 2012 season. You will be notified when they are ready and available.

Only USBA Room Members are permitted to hold a TOUR EVENT. If you are not yet a Room Member, then consider becoming one: Room Membership

Each room is only allowed to host 1 “Open” Tour Event and 1 “B” Tour Event for the 2012 Tour Season which starts March 1, 2012. The ideal situation is for the USBA to have 1 "Open" event and 1 "B" event in each of 6 different regions of the country. This may not always be possible. Exceptions will be made if there are still available dates on the calendar and the available date is less than 2 months away. Then the schedule will be filled at the discretion of the USBA TOUR Committee.
