To All Room Owners/Reps
Interested in Hosting the USBA National Championship:
The USBA Nationals are held each year in the winter, preferably in mid-February through mid-March. According to our Constitution, each Region of the country takes turns in hosting the Nationals. In February of 2010, the Northwestern Region is hosting the Nationals at the Tacoma Elks Lodge in Tacoma, WA.
In 2011, the Southeastern Region will host the Nationals.
In 2012, the Southwestern Region will host the Nationals.
In 2013, the Mid-America Region will host the Nationals.
In 2014, the Northeastern Region will host the Nationals.

The Constitution also mandates that the room or venue must have a minimum of 4 ten-foot carom tables. The quality & condition of the tables, the location, seating capacity for spectators, etc., all play a part in the USBA's final decision of where the Nationals will be held.
Generally, a room submits a bid to the USBA indicating how much money they would like to add to the prize fund. An average amount is around $3,000.00. Generally speaking, but not a rule, the room or venue will receive the following:
1) Free Simonis 300 rapide cloths to cover the tables for the event (10 tables is the maximum that Simonis will donate).
2) A cue or cues donated from sponsors. The room can either keep the cue or cues to be sold or used for a raffle at the event.
3) The room may charge admission and keep the proceeds.
4) Sponsors usually donate several thousand dollars to add to the prize fund.
5) The room gets advertising and exposure on the USBA website (www.USBA.net), Professor-Q-Ball's website (www.professorqball.com) and in the USBA Newsletter in Professor-Q-Ball's National Pool & 3-Cushion News publication (10,000 circulation).
