The USBA has just learned that the World Cup Organizer, Mr. Ermanno Scalas, has cancelled the Las Vegas World Cup.

Mr. Scalas stated, "It is with extreme regret I have to officially cancel the World Cup in Las Vegas. I want to take this opportunity to thank the many people and players for their words of encouragement and dedication to the sport of billiards. The securing of sponsor/sponsors in the short time frame was not possible. All other cooperating entities were in place."

Although this is extremely unfortunate, we would like to thank Mr. Scalas for trying his best with this huge undertaking. We support Mr. Scalas' decision and hope to be able to bring this event to fruition in the future.
