The USBA Board of Directors has approved the following changes:

Section 7.01
Sanctioned Tournaments
All USBA sanctioned tournaments require that players shall be a current member in good standing of the USBA or that they pay the USBA a $25 non-member tournament participation fee. This includes any “foreign players”. The players who pay the participation fee will NOT receive USBA Ranking Points for that tournament and will not receive the benefits of USBA membership.

New Amendment:

All USBA sanctioned tournaments require that ALL players shall be a current member in good standing of the USBA or that they pay the USBA a $25 non-member tournament participation fee. The players who pay the participation fee will NOT receive USBA Ranking Points for that tournament and will not receive the benefits of USBA membership.

In addition to this amendment, the Board has established the following USBA Rule regarding USBA Tournament Announcements:

All USBA Tournament announcements and flyers shall advertise the tournament entry fees in the following manner:

1) USBA Members will pay $25 less than all non-members
2) $10 USBA Sanction fee shall also be included in the entry fees

An example of the correct wording is as follows:

Entry Fee: $385*
USBA Member Discount: $360

An asterisk (*) should be alongside the basic entry fee. At the bottom of the tournament announcement or flyer, a disclaimer should read:

*Includes $10 USBA Sanction Fee & $25 USBA non-member fee which goes to the USBA
