Carom Cafe in Flushing, NY held a "B" player tournament last weekend, March 19-21, 2010.
In all, there were 36 players divided into 6 groups of 6 players each, round robin to 20 points. The top 2 from each group, plus the two best 3rd place finishers and one auction and one lotto winner advanced to the semi-finals.
The semi-finals had 4 groups with 4 players each, round robin to 20 points. The top 2 finishers of each group advanced to a single-elimination final to 25 points.
The last 2 players standing were John Kim and Arturo Herrera who played one final match to 30 points. Arturo averged over 1.000 and defeated John Kim 30-11.
