The first Regional Qualifier for the USBA National Championship started on Friday, January 4th at the Executive Inn in Louisville, KY. Eighteen anxious 3-cushion billiard players came from all over the country for a chance to qualify for the big event, which started on Wednesday, January 9-13th.

The players were divided into 3 groups of 6 players each. The top 2 players in each group advanced to a 6-man round-robin final with the top 3 finishers winning entry into the National Championship on Wednesday.
